Nigeria striker, Emmanuel Emenike has attracted interest from Barclays English Premier League club, Liverpool.
The Reds are lining up the 25-year-forward as a potential replacement for Uruguayan forward, Luis Suarez who seems set to depart the club in the summer.
Several top European clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, PSG and Bayern Munich have indicated interest in Suarez with Bayern the favourites to nick his signature.
Liverpool understand that keeping their leading striker at the club will be extremely difficult, and are already considering options for the acquisition of a replacement.
Apart from Suarez in attack, Liverpool’s other options include Daniel Sturridge, Fabio Borrini, Osama Assaidi and young Spaniard Suso.
The Reds will however look to strengthen their front line with the impending departure of Suarez.
Apart from Emenike, Liverpool are also said to be interested in acquiring the services of Korean striker, Hong-Min Son from SV Hamburg, Frenchman, Kevin Gameiro (PSG), Belgian striker Dries Mertens (PSV), Senegalese striker, Moussa Sow (Fenerbahce) and forward Lasana Traore (Anzhi Makhachkala).
Meanwhile, head coach of Spartak Moscow, Valery Karpin has revealed that the club has been consistently receiving offers for the big Nigerian who finished as top scorer for Nigeria at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa with four goals.
Karpin told Russian daily, Izvestia that the proposal for the acquisition of Emenike will be allowed only in the case of really decent offers that satisfies both the player and the club.
Emenike joined the Russian club in the summer of 2011 from Istanbul club, Fenerbahce for € 10 million.
The striker has played 46 games for Spartak Moscow, scoring 21 times and providing seven assists partners.
He could have had an even healthier goals return but his performances have been blighted by injury.
It is believed that the forward is rated at € 12 million currently. His contract with the Russian club runs out in 2016.
