May we meet you?
I’m Tamara Eteimo, from Bayelsa State and an actress. I’m a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt where I studied Theatre arts. I’m a simple person.
How and when did you get into the industry?
I first registered with Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) in Lagos and went back to Port Harcourtto complete my education so I could come back and get involved in the industry fully. In 2011, I came for the Delyork International Program/New York Film Academy where I was awarded the Best Acting Student in September. I got into the industry fully in the year 2011 after winning theNext Movie Star Reality TV Show in November 2011.
What movies have you done so far?
Before The Next Movie Star, I did Twist of Fate, soap by Joseph Osademe. Then I also featured in a movie titled Still Born by Jester Nsirim andJoy Okuku. So far I have featured in Mrs. Somebody by Uche Jombo, Dry by Stephanie Okereke, Superstory (Itohan; A Call To Action) by Wale Adenuga, Dormitory 8 by Sola Fajobiand Meet the Neighbors by Pottia and Sola Fajobi…the list goes on.
Do you think you’ll ever go back to music?
You know I’m an all-round entertainer. As well as acting, I dance and sing. In spite of the fact that I started singing before acting, acting has always been my first love and will always be. It’s like a first baby and there’s this unending joy that I get whenever I act. I might still sing but I won’t leave acting for singing.
What should your fans expect from you in 2013 and any last words for them?
They should know that I will not let them down and the best of me is yet to come. And with God and their blessings I will soar higher and make them proud.
